We moved into a new (to us ) house , back in April 2025 - knowing our HVAC was 25 years old - so we knew at some stage it was going to need replacing . It broke down a few days ago so we got some companies in to give us prices for a complete new system .
We called in Central Oregon Heating, Cooling, Plumbing and Electrical because we loved the great Google reviews they were getting and we see their company trucks around Bend all the time .
Their project manager - Alex Pickles - came to give us a quote which we thought was fair and then he said the make they used was “ Carrier” .
Well, he had me at that word because we have used Carrier before and rate it really highly.
So we accepted their quote and 2 days later in comes two of the most professional and polite installers - Jesse and Harley - to change out our old system for a new “ Carrier” one .
They worked so consistently well together and knew exactly what each other were doing from beginning to end .
We are now the proud owners of a fantastic new heating and cooling system that looks neat and tidy .
Many thanks to Alex , Jesse and Harley for their professionalism and for being such great guys to work with .
I intend to let my neighbours and friends know about this company and who to contact when their system needs replacing .
I would give this company 10/10 .

In January when it was so cold, our HVAC went out. We had two service technicians out to the house. Buddy was thorough with his investigation but could not find the problem. We still had no heat the next week so Dylan came out to troubleshoot. It was a complex issue that took a lot of investigation to get to the root of the problem but Dylan was tenacious. The company was very flexible with refunding the thermostat that it turned out we did not need. Cannot say enough about Dylan's excellent service!

After limping along with my 20‑year‑old furnace for more than a year, I finally decided it was time to seek a second opinion. I wasn’t unhappy with my previous HVAC provider, but I felt it was wise to get additional information. I’m very glad I did.
To my surprise, Central Oregon Heating and Cooling scheduled me for the next available service call and followed it up with a next‑day installation. My experience with Nick in service and my installer Fred was outstanding—so much so that I’m now a lifelong customer.
Their pricing was extremely competitive, but where they truly outshine others is in their responsiveness and customer service. As a Bend resident for over 40 years, I highly recommend this company for all your heating and cooling needs.
Note: We upgraded from a single‑stage furnace to a two‑stage unit, and after the very first night we were blown away by how quiet it is—whisper quiet compared to our old one.

Blayke performed scheduled maintenance on our furnace and then diagnosed and fixed a problem with our fireplace starting. He was courteous, thorough, and did a terrific job. We are very pleased with this service technician.

Spencer was friendly and professional, he even helped set up another repair we needed.

Cameron was very thorough. He answered all of our questions so we could understand.

He clearly explained the problems. He made sure I had a complete list of items I need to get so I can complete my wife’s honey do list.

Jim was very thorough and I appreciated that he took the time to answer questions. Would be happy to have him provide the service needed in the future.

We had a really positive experience with Gus from Central Oregon Heating, Cooling, Plumbing and Electrical. Finding water where it’s not supposed to be in your house is scary and frustrating but Gus was able to come out reasonably quickly and he was kind, professional, and helpful. He communicated well and made some stellar recommendations to help us get the ball moving on restoration and repairs. We can’t thank him enough.

Heater shut down over night….Brrrr! Called Central Oregon Heating, Cooling, Electrical & Plumbing in the morning and they had someone over within a few hours. Blayke did the annual maintenance on our furnace today, and it was a positive experience from start to finish. He was knowledgeable, clear, kind, and professional.

After he inspected the furnace, he explained the results to me. He shared photos of the inside of the furnace so I understood his observations and advice on our 20-year-old unit and what to expect in the future. He also gave us the completed tune-up checklist and notes on everything he inspected. Our furnace had no immediate issues, so Blayke shared advice and options, including a maintenance membership that we can opt into at any time.

There was no pressure to spend money beyond the cost I’d anticipated for the annual maintenance, and I appreciate the printed checklist and maintenance membership info he gave us. I also appreciate that the technicians (who focus on repairs) are separate from the sales team (who’d focus on replacement), which allows us to focus on the reason for the visit and increases trust because the technician’s job is not upselling.

We trust Blayke and Central Oregon Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electrical to give us the best service, repair, and (eventually) replacement of the systems that are important to the comfort of our home.

COHC has been my go to for heating, cooling, and now plumbing. Kion diagnosed quickly and addressed the issue in barely 20 minutes. Great service, as usual.

Travis was diligent enough to fund the reason propane stove was not starting via the wall controller. He also did a great job checking the heat pump and cleaning the filters.

Technician Matt was great when my furnace went on the fritz. Communicative, showed up on time, walked me through what he was doing, and back out the door in less than an hour!

I have been trying to load a trailer by myself. At 81 I just can't do what I did a few years ago. After the young men finished the job they came to do and even on their break they helped me and still got to their next job. Thanks so much 💖

Wayne explained how the system works in the winter and how it goes into defrost mode which is the valve sound I’ve heard.
He also suggested to keep it on Heat mode during the winter and Cool mode in the summer. I burn a wood stove, so if the system was in Auto mode, it would try to cool down the room temperature

Matthew came out to do our service and was amazingly friendly and professional. He is very knowledgeable and loves making sure that I as the customer clearly understood what he was checking and anything I needed to know for maintenance of my system. He identified that the error and issue with the system was simply caused by very dirty filters. He was able to provide great information and helped me with the easy fix of cleaning the filters and reinstalling. Because of Matthew I will definitely be recommending the customers to other people in the local area!! Amazing service!

Great service over many years. Have utilized the consistent maintenance over the time I've been in my home and had a few "emergencies" over the years that you have taken care of. Brian and Cutter did the removal/installation in 2 1/2 days.They did an excellent job -- I love my shower! Brian came back to fix a couple very minor repairs immediately after I called. Buddy C did our Fall HVAC check yesterday. He took several photos of the equipment with his phone and reviewed the photos to show current loads vs normal values, as well as the general condition of components. The results were reassuring and also identified areas to watch in future. He was both thorough and knowledgeable about our systems and greatly helped ensure their reliability. We had our old HVAC gas furnace replaced with a new 2-stage gas furnace. We love the new way the new filter system works and it is also quieter. Fred our installer was a great guy and did an amazing job.

Best HVAC company I've ever worked with, hands down. Our AC system shut off on the hottest day of the year. They had someone come out within 1.5 hours and determined the zone control board had failed. They sourced the part the next day (today) and will have it installed tomorrow. And they figured out a way to get us at least rudimentary cooling with one thermostat in the meantime, which we appreciated because it's still super hot. Highly recommended!
