I had such a great experience working with this company, and Jim!I was given a phone call with an estimated time of arrival. Jim was right within the window he stated, so there was punctuality and no waiting around. Jim was comfortable, pleasant and professional.My issues were made known and he was able to clean, assess and review all parts. He was able to let us know what the next steps were for guidance in how to deal with the things that were to come, as this was designed to be an assessment of what was wrong kind of appt. He gave great recommendations and wasn’t trying to push or sell anything. He was realistic and kind!Payment was easy. I wrote a check, but a card could have been used. An email was received as my receipt. Easy, easy and took an hour out of my day. His assessment gave me piece of mind. Jim is just the best!

We have had issues with our heat for over a year. I’ve had many techs come out that we’re all good. They fix something they go away and it would come back again. Matthew was here on January 10 and replaced the motherboard that was broken the second time. He was the most gracious Tech ever. It’s now been four days and everything is working perfectly. Kudos to Matthew!!

This is not your usual 5 star review. A day after the service was provided, I was contacted by Central Oregon Heating to see how things went the prior day. I was honest with them and said the Technician Mike was wonderful and true 5 star experience, but I was initially only going to give the company itself 3 1/2 stars.That is because the level of communication on the day of the service could have been much better. I was initially told I was the 1st customer on the route the day of the booking, then shortly thereafter told I was told I was actually the 2nd customer. That's fine. But as the hours passed on the day of the scheduled service, and no technician showed up, I called customer service late morning. Now I was told I was the 4th house on the technician's list. And all I was told by customer service is that he had until 7pm to show up. And I asked what if he didn't. Then they would reschedule.Finally at around 4:30 I called back to see if they had any update on his arrival time, and I was told he was on his 3rd house, and would be to my house by 5:30. At 5:00 Mike the Technician called and said he'd be over in 5 minutes. He arrived and performed the annual maintenance service and was out of there in about 30 minutes. Like I said, he did a great job, provided valuable feedback on my gas furnace, and we called it a day.I just feel that given that their call center had my phone number, they could have provided estimated timing throughout the day as to when he might arrive freeing me up to do other things on my plate. But it took me the customer to reach out to them, and when I did, info on their side felt like I was a burden to them.Now that all said, because the company reached out to me, and I had told them how I felt, they actually went and refunded the entire cost of the service call. That was completely unnecessary, but I would say that unlike some companies that just provide lip service and trying to become better, this company went above and beyond to make me feel better. And keep in mind I wasn't asking for any type of refund. I just wanted them to think about future customers and how they might improve their art of communication.So Central Oregon Heating, I feel your big picture action now deserve a 5 star for making things right. Thanks.

Recently had concern regarding a possible residential pipe leak. As a Green Shield client I called Central Oregon heating. Chris came out the next day, listened to my experience and did an assessment including crawl space access. I was fortunate there was no leak. As expected Chris was timely and professional.

We've used Central Oregon Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing for years for all sorts of services. Jeremy was our tech today and he was great! He obviously is extremely knowledgeable and is very personable. Hopefully he'll be back again to service our HVAC!*Update! Martin came out for free this week to look over a fireplace that we recently had serviced. He took the time to go everything in detail with us so that we had a solid understanding of our system.

Wayne was great..couldn't ask for better service

I recently had COH install two humidifiers and air purifiers in our Oregon home. As it turns out they used the wrong kind of drain pump so it died about a week later since it wasn't able to handle the discharge heat. The first tech they sent out was very nice but the troubleshooting was over his head. Chris was the senior tech they sent to follow up and try again. He was incredibly professional, confident and competent and was able to determine the problem in short order. After he ordered the part and came back it took only a few minutes to replace the pump. The correction was done without additional charge and seems to be up and running now. Would be happy to have Chris handle any future needs that may arise.

Clayton was friendly, kind, efficient, and competent and I’d be happy to have his help again!

I had an emergency on a Saturday with my hot water heater in my airbnb and Alex came out within an hour and a half and resolved the issue. He was very cheerful and helpful for coming out on a weekend. Saved the day!

In October, Mike came to do a pre-season check up on our furnace. We purchased our home new, and after 15 years it had recently stopped heating/cooling evenly between floors. The only thing he did was change the 4-month-old filter and said that should fix it, and charged us $100.Nothing improved after the inspection, so I decided to do some exploring myself under the house. I not only found a 12 inch metal disc obstructing 95% of the airflow at the outlet of the furnace, but the main duct had blown, causing most of the remaining 5% of the air to be lost in the crawl space. Several hours and $100 later, I replaced the blown duct and the house was back to normal.In December, the furnace quit igniting, so I called for service again and Spencer came out and quickly diagnosed the problem as a bad gas valve. He said he could replace the part for $700-800, but recommended replacing the entire furnace for $8,000-10,000. He stuck his phone up inside the furnace to get a photo of the heat exchanger, hoping to see a crack, but couldn't prove the unit was failing, so again, nothing was solved for another $100. He said he could send another tech out to get more detail with a scope, but I didn’t hear back from anyone.My initial review was a one star, but I received excellent follow up today from Jocelyn and Austin and feel they truly listened to my concerns. I feel more comfortable moving forward with a full system replacement quote and hope to have a continued positive experience if I move forward with their proposal.

It’s the middle of winter, snow is piling up outside, and my heating unit stopped working, leaving my house freezing. I called Central Oregon Heating and Cooling around 7 PM, and someone answered the phone right away. Their technician was incredibly helpful and patiently walked us through troubleshooting steps over the phone to try and fix the unit ourselves. Although we didn’t end up needing their service, their willingness to help without expecting anything in return says a lot about their character. I felt compelled to write this review to let everyone know what an honest and reliable business they are. These are truly good people!

The gentleman came and did a thorough inspection on our heat pump and furnace. He did find a slow leak in one of the lines carrying freon. This made our unit act ok for a while then giving no heat . So he will send another man who corrects these leeks and refills the freon. (Probable not called freon now days.)

These gentlemen were super respectful and full of knowledgeable advice. My situation is not an easy or a cheap fix. And they did give me some good options. Experts in their field. Support local. Our boys are out there keeping the community warm. <3

RJ did our repairs today and he was fantastic! “Yes, I can fix that, yes I can fix this too! Is there anything else you want repaired?!” RJ fixed three things and was done in 25 minutes! Hooray! Central Oregon heating and cooling has always provided great service. Recently Kion came to fix my kitchen faucet hose, which was leaking in the cabinet below. . He quickly identified the problem, and replaced the metal-encased hose line. when I mentioned that my disposal was not working he had a simple solution of loosening the bottom bolt, and showed me the tool to use for that. Great work!

Extremely quick response time!Our dishwasher disposal stopped working on Thanksgiving (of all days). I called first thing on Friday and Richard was here within an hour to get it going again. Super friendly and didn't bat an eye at the chaos of toddlers and dogs around him. He was able to fix it on the spot and was in and out within 20 minutes. He even gave me some tips on how to troubleshoot for myself in the future.Great company, great employees. 10/10

Not only did he service our heating/cooling system, but he found where we had a pipe that was broken that was making it so carbon monoxide was being pumped directly into our garage. We are so thankful for their due diligence and amazing skill. We have used them since 2008 and absolutely love them!

I had a pending emergency (toilet about to fail completely) and reached out to these good folks. Dispatcher Brandy understood and was able to get me a same-day appointment! RJ and Ethan came to the rescue -- BIG TIME -- and in a short while had fixed all three toilets and cleared calcium deposits out of my water heater. They should have been riding white horses and wearing capes!!! 5 +++++++ Stars!!!
